D. G. Devil offers some unique bookbinding services for those interested in custom-bound books. Inspired by 19th-century graphic design aesthetics, D. G. Devil combines dark, whimsical sensibilities from the past with a myriad of modern printmaking, illustration and bookbinding techniques to create his books.

  • Base Prices

    Pricing for a binding varies heavily based on page dimensions. For a general idea of how much a custom binding might cost, you can look over a few standard book sizes below. All base prices include the cost of the materials and labor for a basic binding.*

    Small (5.5x3.5” pages): $75
    Standard (8.5x5.5” pages): $100
    Large (11x8.5” pages): $125

    *Note that this may vary depending on the size book you have.

    Add-Ons

    Silkscreen design on the front cover and/or spine: $50 (per color)
    Custom collage cover: $20
    Hand-printed custom endpapers: $35
    Additional cloth/faux leather corner & spine binding: $15 - $25
    Blank bookplate (of your choosing): $3.50
    Bookmark Ribbon: $2
    Book repair: $20 - $100, depending on the amount of repairs needed

    Much like with a re-binding, pricing for a custom sketchbook varies heavily based on page dimensions. For a general idea of how much a custom binding might cost, you can look over a few standard book sizes below. All base prices include the cost of the materials and labor for a basic binding.*

    Wire-Bound Sketchbooks
    Standard (9x5.5” pages): $25
    Large (11x8.5” pages): $40

    Exposed Spine Sketchbooks
    Standard (9x5.5” pages): $40
    Large (11x8.5” pages): $80

    Secret Belgian Spine Sketchbooks
    Standard (9.5x5.5” pages): $60
    Large (11x8.5” pages): $100

    *Note that this may vary if you request a book outside of these standard sizes. Additionally, all my sketchbooks are bound using smooth Bristol paper for the inside pages (this is just what I prefer for my own sketchbooks.) For a quote on another kind of paper, please contact me.
